Each item begins as a lost wax casting, whereby the hand carved pattern is placed within a fine grade investment (plaster like material) and upon hardening, the wax pattern inside is burned out, or lost, in a kiln. At this stage, only a cavity remains, formed exactly like the lost wax. Into this cavity is poured molten gold and upon cooling, the mold is broken apart to remove the ring.
Due to the high level of detail lost wax casting produces, this is the same method used by Rolls Royce to produce the Flying Lady hood ornament which adorns their fine motorcars.
In the case of our jewelry, the resultant piece is now ready for Diamonds or other gemstones to be carefully set by our talented Diamond setters, each piece is then polished and finished by hand to the highest standards.
None of the rings in this collection are copies of anything else. All are original designs and represent the only example ever likely to be made. Once these unique pieces are selected to leave our store, other unique designs will be created to take their places and appear in our showroom and website.
In the interest of brevity, not all stones are described in great technical detail. It may be safely assumed that all colored Diamonds herein are irradiated and that all color and clarity information is available for the asking.
